Stained Glass is rapidly becoming a substitute for minerals and ceramic tile in Mosaic projects.. It is durable , it comes in a extensive range of colours and textures, it tends to be the same height of depth so surfaces are relatively even and shapes can be readily cut to shape unlike stone which has to be chipped or chiseled to shape.

Featured here is a dining table, with three sections and a kitchen counter with sink surround featuring a "Lotus Mandala" ..
The glass is iridescent and the central spiral is copper mirror with a water ripple texture across it. This piece features over 25 different varieties of glass. Grout can be custom tinted also.

Measurements of oval dining table are: 56" long by 40" wide
Measurements of Kitchen Counter with sink surround are: 90 " long by 22" to 27" wide.

Design is a custom design that spontaneously arose in response to the space and the objects, that sat as just an idea for some time. When the destruction of Hurricane Katrina happened I chose to dedicate it to the spirit and the people of New Orleans and it took off as it were on its own. Today it remains in my showroom as a testament to this event as well as the suffering and awareness that it brought to our attention and a prayer for all of those that suffered so horribly. Somehow working with a water element as a subject and rendering it peaceful was a way of bearing witness, and a solace of healing.

MOSAIC GLASS
